Upload your tax documents. We handle the rest.

If another document or answer is needed, we tell you. You don't have to figure it out alone.
A human tax preparer reviews your return before it moves forward — not an expensive optional upgrade.
No form-by-form surprises within our supported return scope.
Once we have what we need, your draft is prepared within 10 business days.
You provide the facts. We build the return.
Four steps — and none of them involve you typing Box 1, Box 2, Box 12c.
Tell us about your tax situation — plain questions about your year, not tax-form boxes.
Upload your W-2s, 1099s and other tax documents through the secure portal.
We review what you provided, tell you if anything is missing, and prepare the return.
You review the completed return and complete the required authorization steps.
Flat pricing. No form-by-form surprises.
Your price depends on how many federal and state returns you need — not on how many supported tax documents you happen to have.
For taxpayers who do not need a state return.
For taxpayers filing one federal return and one state return.
For taxpayers filing one federal return and two state returns.
Multiple W-2s, a 1099-B, an HSA form or a Schedule C don't trigger arbitrary form-by-form upsells inside our supported scope.
Human review isn't a paid tier. A human tax preparer reviews every return before e-file.
Pricing applies within our published supported-return scope. Situations outside that scope aren't silently included — we tell you before any work begins.
Federal and all 50 state returns supported.
Not currently supported: J-1, F-1 and other nonresident returns, overseas/expat filings, business entities other than sole proprietorships, multiple rental properties, and prior-year or amended returns.
A different way to get your taxes done
Ten Day Tax isn't trying to be the cheapest DIY tax software. It's for people who don't want to build their own return inside tax software.
DIY tax products differ. The descriptions above reflect typical DIY workflows and may not match every product or service level.
Comparing full-service options?
If you've decided you don't want to prepare your own return, the practical question is what you'll actually pay. Here's how our pricing model differs.
- Flat within our supported scope
- Human preparer review included
- Upload your tax documents
- We identify what is still needed
- Published as a starting price, not a final quote
- State filing may be an additional cost
- Final price may vary based on your tax situation, forms and services
We're not claiming to be cheaper in every situation. The difference we can promise is price predictability within our supported scope.

What "within our supported scope" means.
In plain English: these are the situations our flat package pricing covers.
Outside our scope today: J-1, F-1 and other nonresident returns, overseas/expat filings, business entities other than sole proprietorships, multiple rental properties, and prior-year or amended returns. Multiple businesses may require review before we begin.
You give us what we need. Then we do the work.
Those 10 business days are ours, not yours — time you spend doing anything other than sitting inside tax software. If your first draft is delivered more than 10 business days after we have everything required, you get 50% off your preparation fee.
The 10-business-day period is the preparation window and starts once all documents and answers required to prepare the return have been received. It does not cover your own review and signature, payment, e-file transmission, or IRS/state acceptance timing.
Your tax documents should not travel through regular email.
W-2s, 1099s, Social Security numbers, and other tax documents should be submitted through a secure client portal. Ten Day Tax does not ask clients to send sensitive tax documents through regular email or the contact form.
Encrypted document upload with limited internal access.
A human tax preparer reviews every return before e-file.
Please don't email tax documents or send them through the contact form.
Common questions.
Do I have to manually enter my W-2 or 1099?+
No. You upload the document and we handle the tax-form data. You'll still answer questions about your personal and life situation — things a document can't tell us.
What happens if I forget a tax document?+
We review what you've provided against your answers and tell you what's still needed. You don't have to work that out on your own.
Is my return reviewed by a person?+
Yes. A human tax preparer reviews every return before e-file. It's included, not an upgrade.
Will my price increase because I have several tax forms?+
No. Price depends on how many federal and state returns you need. Multiple supported documents don't trigger form-by-form add-ons within our supported scope.
What does the 10-business-day turnaround mean?+
It's the preparation window. Once we have all the documents and answers required to prepare your return, your first draft is prepared within 10 business days.
Upload your documents. We'll take it from there.
Create your account for the 2027 filing season. Human preparer review is included on every return.
